Computed Infrared Thermography
Computed infrared thermography is a medical technology that is FDA approved as a neurodiagnostic procedure used to detect interference in the nervous system. Thermography has been used for thousands of years to diagnose the sick. In modern times, new medical breakthroughs have allowed us to further understand the link between thermal imbalances and nervous system dysfunction. It is important to understand that results do not come from the adjustments themselves, but rather from the patient achieving a healthy and fully functioning nervous system.
At Virginia Hill Chiropractic, we use thermography to indicate if there is an interference present in the patient's nervous system, which then determines the need for an adjustment. In order to objectively monitor the course of patient care, thermography is also used post-adjustment to be sure that the proper adjustment has been made and that nervous system interference has been reduced or eliminated.
Digital Laser-aligned Radiography
We utilize state-of-the-art technology with digital laser-aligned radiography for the most accurate and effective x-ray available today. Since standard x-ray technology is inadequate for this purpose, a digital x-ray is taken. The x-ray images are then analyzed by Dr. Peterson to determine the three-dimensional displacement of the upper cervical vertebrae. Be assured that radiological examinations are performed only when clinically necessary to insure proper patient care.
At Virginia Hill Chiropractic, we use specific procedures and the most up-to-date technology to assess musculoskeletal systems, which involve joints, tendons, muscles, nerves, and structures that support limbs, neck and back.
An orthopedic examination is performed to evaluate range of motion and to test the integrity of the joints in order to assess chronic degeneration or increased inflammation.
The Upper Cervical Care approach focuses on the brain’s ability to communicate with our body. Any miscommunication due to a malfunctioning nervous system hinders the body’s natural ability to heal itself. In order to locate any interference to the nervous system, we perform various neurological tests to assess balance, coordination, spatial orientation and more.
A traditional full spine Chiropractic examination is performed to assess the spine for subluxation or misalignments in the lower spine and/or extremities. The examination technique is known as palpation, where Dr. Peterson uses his hands to feel the anatomy of the spine as well as other tests to identify any abnormalities.
